Position Summary
The Seasonal Summer Support staff member plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and memorable summer experience for youth participants. This position supports the planning and delivery of recreational, educational, and cultural activities while providing direct supervision and positive mentorship to youth in a variety of group settings. Seasonal staff are expected to model respectful behavior, encourage participation, and help foster an inclusive environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and fun throughout the summer season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with all youth services programs and events such as, but not limited to the following
o Before and Afterschool
o Graduation Party
o Summer Camp
o Back to School Faire
o End of Summer BBQ
o Harvest Party
· Fostering group unity
· Maintaining a fun and positive environment
· Work efficiently and effectively to complete all tasks.

· Must possess excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to cooperate with others.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork are necessary.
· Experience working with diverse populations and backgrounds
· Willingness to work with a team of staff and departments to meet the needs of the Tribal community.
Work Environment

This position works in an active, fast-paced setting that includes both indoor and outdoor environments. Staff regularly interact with youth, coworkers, and supervisors in recreational and community spaces. The role requires flexibility, physical activity, and adaptability to changing weather conditions and program needs. Employees should be comfortable standing and moving for extended periods, participating in activities, and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive environment at all times.

· Frequently involves playing and engaging with Youth of various ages
· Occasionally involves light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force and/or up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force to move objects.
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
· Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
· Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
· Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
· Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
· Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
· Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
· Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
· Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
· Prior experience working with children in a summer camp setting is strongly preferred.
· Must be CPR and First Aid Certified. Will train on-the-job.
· Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
· Must have strong work history and attendance.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments.
· Must meet coverage criteria according to the Tribe’s vehicle liability insurance.
· Must be able to pass a thorough background check and possess a valid Washington driver’s license.
· Experience working in a Tribal cultural setting is preferred.
· Must adhere to the Stillaguamish policies and procedures set out by the Tribe.
