M-F 8-6

Position Summary

Assess clients and performs massage; the manual manipulation of soft tissues, connective tissues, muscle, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess client posture, gate, range of motion, muscle strength and propose treatment plans.
  • Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints.
  • Propose client treatment plans.
  • Work with other health care professionals on client treatment plans.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payment and bill insurance companies, as needed.
  • Specific level requirements are as follows;
    • Level I: Requires 0-2 years of hands on licensed massage experience, pay grade 5.
    • Level II: Requires 2-5 years of hands on licensed massage experience, pay grade 6.
    • Level III: Requires 5+ years of hands on licensed massage experience, pay grade 7.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Must maintain and complete continuing education requirements set by Washington State Department of Health.
•    Must be able to meet the physical demands of massage therapy with no physical restrictions or           limitations.
•    Must be able to establish a positive therapeutic relationship with clients.
•    Must know the importance of self-care.
•    Ability to operate general office equipment including computers and tablets.

 Position Qualifications

•    Successful completion of an approved Massage College.
•    Current Washington State Massage Therapy License.
•    Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
•    Washington State Driver’s License and ability to be approved by the Tribal insurance to drive       Tribal vehicles.
